In Memory of Ted Hyde: Funeral Details

Further to our sad news last week of the passing of Ted Hyde, we are sharing the details for those who wish to attend his service and celebrate a true gentleman.

Above all else, Ted was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and our heart goes out to his family above all. He was also a deeply respected man across our local community whose name will forever be woven into the fabric of Thatcham Town Football Club. His lifelong devotion to the club spanned decades and saw him serve in nearly every capacity, from representing the club on the pitch as a former player, to guiding its direction as Chairman, and continuing his steadfast support in recent years as a Trustee.

Simply put, Ted loved Thatcham Town FC. His dedication, passion, and tireless commitment to both the club and the wider community were second to none. His warmth, guidance, and presence around the ground will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral Service & Reception Details

For all who wish to pay their respects and honour Ted’s life, the details of the service are as follows:

• Date: Thursday, 27th August

• Time: 1:30 PM (13:30)

• Location: West Berkshire Crematorium, Bath Road, Thatcham, RG19 4LD

  
  

Following the service, everyone is warmly invited to gather at Thatcham Town Football Club for the wake, a fitting venue to share memories, remember a club great, and celebrate Ted's lasting legacy.
