The Combined Counties Football League has officially released its full fixture card for the upcoming 2026/27 season. With cup competitions alongside a grueling league calendar, we are set for a thrilling, high-stakes campaign from August through to April.

📅 The Kickoff: A Packed August

The season starts at lightning pace, with Thatcham facing a massive nine fixtures in August alone.

Opening Day: The Kingfishers begin their campaign on the road, traveling to Penn & Tylers Green on Saturday, August 1st, 2026.

Home Opener: Fans won't have to wait long for the first gate at Waterside Park, as we hosts Bedfont FC on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026.

🏆 Cup Football Calendar

Knockout football returns early to Thatcham this year, with three major cup dates already locked into the schedule:

FA Cup (FAC): An early-season blockbuster sees us host Cinderford Town at home on Saturday, August 8th, 2026.

FA Vase (FAV): The road to Wembley in the national vase begins on Saturday, September 12th, 2026, with an away tie against Longwell Green Sports.

League Cup (LC): The squad will travel to local rivals Wokingham Town for a midweek cup showdown on Tuesday, November 21st, 2026.

🎄 Festive Period & Derby Days

The Christmas and New Year schedule features crucial fixtures that could define the Kingfishers' season fortunes:

Pre-Christmas: A tough trip to Hilltop on Friday, December 18th, 2026.

Festive Football: A massive home-county clash away at Reading City on Monday, December 28th, 2026.

New Year: We welcome 2027 at Waterside Park with a home tie against Amersham Town on Saturday, January 2nd, 2027.

🏁 The Run-In

The business end of the season sees a heavily home-weighted finish, giving the us a great opportunity to make the final stretch count in front of our fantastic home crowd:

 Final Away Trip: The final match on the road takes place on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2027, at Holyport.

The Grand Finale: We will close out the 2026/27 league season with back-to-back home games, hosting Harefield Utd on March 27th, before the final whistle blows against North Leigh at home on Saturday, April 3rd, 2027.
